ParticipantIts been over a year since Ive been involved in any Lego-related/ LUG events. It’s probably going to at least several more months before we will be able to attend any kind of event.
For us spacers, or really any kind of vehicle makers there’s Febrovery. It’s a group on Flickr, a # on Instagram, and it is on a few other platforms and blogs. There are no rules really, just a rover- anything on wheels really. The creator of this annual event goes by the name “Crimson Giger” on Flickr.
It would be cool to make this an internal competition.I am not sure how to do this, but I would like to make a LUG member motion to have a Febrovery competition for the LUG. I propose that we have 3 cups credit for first place, 2 cups for 2nd and 1 cup for third. @joshhall Is this a legit play to make a motion on a forum?
I would be willing to judge (excluding myself as a winner). Let me know your thoughts…..

ParticipantI like the idea! Will we do a general vote for overall favorites or will there be categories?

KeymasterCan we just make it the Q1 2021 build challenge? 2 birds with 1 stone and saves extra logistics.

I agree that this is a good Idea. I’m a little confused by the Q1 20/21 thread. Has there been any decision/ consensus on when the Q1 meeting will take place?

ParticipantInstantly I envision a Fe-BRO-very entry with needlessly overbuffed wheels and figs with a dumbbell theme.
I soooooo wish I wasn’t fully dedicated to race cars right now.

Extra bonus: the monorail bogey does not rock underneath the plate. If there’s interest I’ll share how to accomplish this!

ParticipantI totally dig the Tobogagarover. The ski connections look like pistons. Very cool shaping with all those backswept curves. I just wish it had a quick conversion for tires. THEN it would be a tobogga-rover for real.
