I wasn’t sure if someone had already talked about this. A friend sent me a link to an item about LEGO Street View, which combines google maps with automatic resolving of images into lego-like substances. Kind of cheesy but still fun. Here’s the site:

It’s different from the google maps thing where you can build your own LEGO constructions on google maps.

That’s a pretty neat idea but I found the results to be lacking. I did my own address and it was not even recognizable as my own neighborhood, let alone my house.
