How old is your child? As a social club for adults, our goal is to foster the hobbies of adults in a manner relative to independent adults. Children do grow up to be members, eventually, but until that time, we’d expect membership to be limited to active parents, so the LUG is never responsible for anyone under the age of 18.

As described in the handbook, each member is responsible for defining their own involvement. The LUG is a social club, and the goal is to provide opportunities for growth, interaction, fun, and out reach to our community. There are many opportunities, created by members, led by members, supported by members, enjoyed by members, and unattended by members. There is no one style of hobby with LEGO, so there is no one way to be an active LUG member.

If you see something at one of our displays, it’s likely our own creation that doesn’t have instructions for the general public. There are some instances where members have spent their own time to create instructions, so feel free to ask.

We do accept donations of pure LEGO parts to help us facilitate large public events and build challenges. You can use the contact page to make those arrangements.

While many members would be interested to see what you have, the fastest way to get their attention is to create a forum post with a detailed description of what you have and attach pictures as well.

We recommend your local library first and foremost. Many area libraries are able to sustain regular and local meetups and can form programs to support interested community members. While we have been a presence to library clubs, we do not have any offerings for classes for the public.
