ParticipantHello!
Last month, a friend of mine sent me an invitation to 11th Hour Brewing Co. in Lawrenceville for a LEGO build night. Unfortunately, the invitation was sent to me the day prior and I was not able to make it.
Upon researching the event, it appeared that January was the third LEGO event they had hosted (once per month). The events are marketed as bring your own sets or use the pieces they have in the taproom to build. At this point, I decided to contact them for additional information and was able to speak with the General Manager, Brian Hatheway.
Brian told me that the events had not really taken off as they hoped and he felt there was something missing. I told Brian that I would bring the topic up to the LUG and we discussed an opportunity for a “Meet the LUG” event in April (I figured it was best after Home & Garden). From there we could discuss future endeavors.
I wanted to share this opportunity prior to Saturday, so that we could discuss it at the Q1 meeting!

ParticipantI have also seen their ads but have not had the opportunity to make it. I would be in for something like this!

KeymasterInterested, in theory. Possibly ahtta tahn in April, depending on the date.
Eleventh Hour is a rill chill spot though, and has solid brews, so I’m all for us supporting this idea!

ParticipantIs there a potential date in April?

ParticipantHey Keith, nice to meet you today!
I live less than a mile from 11th Hour, if I’d known about this I’d have been there every month (seems like they could use the help with promoting). I’m absolutely down to help with a potential event in April, bring some extra bulk bricks, etc. Depending on my schedule I’m also going to try and make it to the night on the 19th of this month, and whenever it happens in March.February 18, 2025 at 2:37 pm #63203Matt Redfield
KeymasterI got their weekly email update, reminding me that tomorrow is the LEGO night. I am doubtful to make it this week but definitely encourage folks to swing by if you’re able (can be informal participants / do some recon, for now…)

ParticipantI will not be making the event tomorrow night, but I’ll be working with the GM to get something different for the March event and then hopefully we’ll do the meet the LUG event in April!

ParticipantI somehow missed this thread, even though I knew about the events in general. I’m not gonna make it tonight, but I’m hoping for March and/or April.

ParticipantJon and I went on the 19th. A possible new LUG member also showed up while we were there. It was fun to sit and talk while building and to see what other people were building. There were about 10 people there building…mostly in groups of 2. So not a lot, but for the space it wasn’t bad. (There were maybe 10 smaller tables and maybe 3 bigger tables… I didn’t think to count when we were there) A handful of other people were there at bar as the night went on. It definitely would be a fun night for more us to go, chat and build.

KeymasterKeith, still looking at a march time?

ParticipantHi everyone!
I’ve been working with the GM Brian and I will be leading an event on March 19th – this is NOT our meet the LUG event. If anyone would want to lend a hand or just come hang out, I’d love to see you there!
As the LEGO nights are held on the third Wednesday, the Meet the LUG event will be held on Wednesday, April 16th. I’ll get an event created for this – we can bring MOC’s or other builds to display!

Participant>> March 19th
As mentioned on other threads, I am not available for the rest of March. I will be out of town for this one.
>> Meet the LUG event will be held on Wednesday, April 16th.
This is looking possible.

ParticipantCaleigh and I talked about we will be coming for meet the Lug event.

ParticipantJust checking to see if anyone from the LUG will be attending this Wednesday?!
March 17, 2025 at 10:42 am #63698Nick
ParticipantI’m planning on attending this Wednesday with a few friends!

KeymasterIt’s going to be a game-time decision for me, due to various life factors such as “10 month old” and “recovering from ACL surgery” and “work is ridiculous lately” but I’ll try to get there on Wednesday if possible.
And April 16 is looking promising. Are we going to try to promote the event via our socials? Is 11th Hour going to promote it? (let’s just say, as swell as they are, I don’t get the sense they’re the most promo-savvy brewery in tahn… last Tuesday’s email newsletter didn’t mention the Weds 3/19 event at all; we’ll see if it gets a mention tomorrow / a Facebook post or anything.)

ParticipantKristin and I will be there this Wednesday, March 19th.

ParticipantExcited to see everyone tonight!
If you don’t plan on bringing a set to work on, I’ll have giants bins of LEGO with me for a building challenge!

ParticipantHey everyone!
Just a reminder that we have the Meet the LUG event coming up on the 16th. Please let me know who would like to attend and what builds you’d like to bring.
April 7, 2025 at 8:37 pm #63943Matt Redfield
KeymasterPlanning on it so long as life doesn’t interfere. Will have to think about whether I have any MOCs to bring…
Also, I’ll reiterate this thought / question:
Are we going to try to promote the event via our socials? Is 11th Hour going to promote it? (let’s just say, as swell as they are, I don’t get the sense they’re the most promo-savvy brewery in tahn… last Tuesday’s email newsletter didn’t mention the Weds 3/19 event at all; we’ll see if it gets a mention tomorrow / a Facebook post or anything.)
They did indeed put it in their email in March, but not until the day before the event…

ParticipantDefinitely coming!
I plan on bringing both the HP Castle and Sauron’s Tower, both on rotating stands. Maybe Bag End if it is completed guess we will see, maybe a classic space base or two. No Ewok Village yet.

I gave bryan our logo and he said they’ll make a variation of their normal flyer with our logo on it.
Also, food truck next week is Upslope Pizza
