Motion.
This is being posted to give everyone a chance to design and acquire parts. Motors are not necessary, but they’ll help in their automation.
Each member planning to participate will be eligible for 1/2 cup of technic only parts from the lug inventory at the Q1 meeting.
This is inspired partly from the ridiculous amount of technic pins and such we have in our inventory, but also by my unrelenting attraction to Sisyphus by Jason Allemann of JK Brickworks.

I’m eager to see what you’ll come up with.
January 5, 2016 at 9:35 pm #14623Matt RedfieldKeymasterIs good. The inspiration and the challenge.
January 11, 2016 at 10:08 am #14719Dan EfranParticipantYeah, good call. That MOC rocks.
January 15, 2016 at 5:31 pm #14759Micah BeidemanParticipantSo if I do the build challenge, could I get my half cup at Q2 as I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to Q1, or would that kinda defeat the purpose? 😛
January 15, 2016 at 6:44 pm #14760JoshKeymasterThat can work, kind of like a reimbursement of technic parts.
March 22, 2016 at 10:07 pm #15485Greg SchubertParticipantOne thing I learned: in the future, use the NEW technic turntables, they have a lot less friction.
March 22, 2016 at 10:40 pm #15489JoshKeymasterRock. On. Greg.
That was just what I needed.

June 16, 2016 at 8:23 am #16731Greg SchubertParticipantI have an entry for the Q2 building challenge (well two entries, actually), but I am unable to attend the Q2 meeting. Are video entries permissible? Who else built something with motion for the Q2 challenger … Hannah, Tom, Walter?
June 16, 2016 at 11:36 am #16734Hannah DowParticipantI’ve got a thing…in mind. I’ve got a week :p
June 25, 2016 at 5:38 pm #16827Greg SchubertParticipantQ2 challenge: Teddy Bear Factory (posted elsewhere)
previous build 🙂
June 25, 2016 at 8:19 pm #16828TimModeratorHopefully, someone took video of all the entries and will post them here.

I heard that Hannah won and that Tom’s amusement park rides (video in the Q2 thread) was second place.
July 14, 2016 at 11:48 pm #17013Tom FrostParticipantWalter’s Incline WIP took third. I took some pics, but alas no video #facepalm
July 15, 2016 at 8:44 am #17015Hannah DowParticipantI will put my dodgems back together this weekend and take some pics/video lol I realized that I don’t even have pictures of it :/ For those of you who were there and discussed some adjustments, I’m currently fixing the flooring so it’s on baseplates and I’ve bought some stronger magnets 🙂
