ParticipantTisa would love for us to do a display for their summer reading program. The theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library” She was thinking exploration, adventure, world sites, stuff like that.
I will get more information from her on dates, installation, etc.
Let me know if you are interested in displaying.
Thank you,

ModeratorSounds like fun. Would we be using the same display cases again?
January 22, 2024 at 12:13 pm #56981Marcella Spear
ParticipantYeah – the same display case as the Winter display.

ParticipantI spoke to Tisa and she confirmed they are also doing Adventure Begins at Your Library.
As discussed in this thread: https://www.steelcitylug.com/forum/topic/displayatallthelibraries/#post-57761
We are looking to have themes for each display.
@timf has claimed Castles for the Cranberry Library. If no one objects, I would like to claim Space for Penn Hills Library. We can have a collab or individual displays, but I think it would work well for the display case.
We also mentioned doing an Eye Spy List for each display. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us on this display.
Tisa will be out the first week of June – so we can install on either the last week of May or the 2nd week of June.

ModeratorI’m in! I could finally build the observatory and set it a shelf below your space build. If not, I have a mega castle I could finally build.

Participantyes – that sounds perfect. Any and all space builds welcome and I love the idea of maybe putting the observatory on the bottom shelf looking up at all the other scenes.

ParticipantTagging myself for this in case I can contribute.

Participant@tfdesigns do you think you can contribute some rovers?
Which would work better for folks – the last week of May or the 2nd week of June?
March 10, 2024 at 2:47 pm #58133Tom Frost
ParticipantI could certainly contribute some rovers and some other spacey stuff.
March 10, 2024 at 7:35 pm #58137Bob Grier
ParticipantI can contribute some space stuff as well!

ParticipantMy Big MTron Ship can go. I don’t anticipate needing it throughout the summer for anything else.

Participant@knb112 I assume that’s the big King’s Castle? Need help? lol
I would have some space, not just Star Wars but actual space, some old, some new. Can do the Galaxy Explorer and/or some old time space police or even Blacktron.

ParticipantI’ll plan to contribute to this. Can we install at Q2?
May 16, 2024 at 9:31 pm #58936Kyle2022
ParticipantI read space theme!!!! I need dimensions for how tall my builds can be I also got the new Artemis set that I can bring for the install and several other Rockets if there isn’t much of a height restriction
May 21, 2024 at 7:20 pm #58956Tim Brown
ParticipantSo I am out of town for Q2 and the install. I would like to display the M-Tron ship MOC for this if someone (@knb112?) can do a hand off before then. @tcsbgdady also mentioned wanting to send something as well. I can pick his stuff up before and hand both off, if someone’s willing.

Moderator@tbrown00 I can take them for you. Let me know if you’re down this way at all between now and then and I’ll let you know the next time I head up north. 🙂

Participant@kyle2022 the display case dimensions can be found on this thread. My recollection is the shelves are evenly spaced vertically.

Participant@watchwmarcella, I’m going to bring my Starship Enterprise and Klingon Bird of Prey MOC’s to display! Both need about 12″ clear height and 12″ in depth, which should fit well on one of the shelves in this display case.

ParticipantThank you @randomdan that helps. I will still bring The Artemis set to see if we can fit it. If not, no big deal. I also have some smaller and flatter builds that I am going to bring.
