The Penn Hills Library would like us to display again in the “our” display case. They are asking for a Winter Village. If anyone would like to display, we can access anytime between 10-5 on November 9th. We will be taking out the Halloween Display at this time as well.
The librarian will be onsite that day.
I am planning on being there around 10:30am. I will make an event for everyone to sign-up. I look forward to seeing what everyone can contribute. This is a great connection that we look forward to continuing.
October 17, 2024 at 10:37 pm #61141Pamela SParticipantHi Marcella. I have a ton of the winter sets to offer to put in the display. I have the holiday main street, Alpine lodge, Santa’s Visit, the small Santa’s workshop GWP that attaches to the elf scene on the side and the polar bear scene…. there may be a few more if need be. Let me know if we can fit all or some of them in! Thanks!!!
October 18, 2024 at 9:25 am #61148Marcella SpearParticipantthat would be great. Bring as much as you like and we will fit what we can in the case, depending on what everyone else that wants to bring something wants to bring. Thanks. can’t wait to see them. I think i will bring the cookie shop from last year. I might also work on an outdoor area – maybe. i have some moc ideas.
October 18, 2024 at 2:47 pm #61150Krista KModeratorI have the Bricker snow man. If I can get my Christmas tree done by then, I’ll bring that too
October 23, 2024 at 12:26 pm #61228Marcella SpearParticipantthose would be perfect. Thanks!
October 24, 2024 at 1:22 pm #61262Ken Soriano-ClarkParticipantI have a Gingerbread house I could possibly bring. What is the display period?
October 30, 2024 at 11:05 am #61336Marcella SpearParticipantThat would be fantastic. I believe the display will be up until sometime in Jan. I will double check with the librarian.
November 8, 2024 at 8:34 am #61452Greg SchubertParticipantI am planning to go to remove my Halloween display items from the Penn Hills Library this afternoon. Is there anyone who would like me to retrieve something for you while I am there?
November 8, 2024 at 2:03 pm #61456Marcella SpearParticipantThanks Greg – are you putting in anything for winter!
Thanks Ken – I’ll be there around the time the library opens at 10.
See everyone there!
November 8, 2024 at 3:33 pm #61458Greg SchubertParticipantIt sounds like there is plenty of interest from others, but no winter items for me, sorry.
November 8, 2024 at 4:18 pm #61459Pamela SParticipantHi Marcella,
Is there a different place or somewhere on this forum that has you sign up for an event (this event) that I’m unaware of? I posted here and I signed up on discord as attending. Also, is it possible to show up in the afternoon or do we all have to be there at 10:00/10:30?
Let me know.
November 8, 2024 at 4:25 pm #61460Marcella SpearParticipantHi Pam – the library is open until 5. If you aren’t there when some of us are – just let the Liberians know you are there for the display and they can open the case for you.
I’ll create an event signup in the morning.
