I’m counting about 24 straight, probably about the same in corners and 2 left switches and 2 right switches. Asking $150.

September 8, 2024 at 9:04 pm #60507JoshKeymasterI messaged them to figure out of they’re dbg or just dark gray. it seems it’s a mom who is selling them for her son who does not have facebook. She’s going to have him confirm.
September 9, 2024 at 9:42 am #60513JoshKeymasterconfirmed they are the stone gray. The lug’s are all dbg, which I don’t know if it’s a deal breaker since we cover it in MILS anyway, but Akron isn’t easy to get to…I didn’t ask her to ship…
September 9, 2024 at 9:53 am #60514John SParticipantWasn’t sure if it was worth the haul out or not.
September 9, 2024 at 10:19 am #60515Bob GrierParticipantWith that much 9v track, it makes me wonder if she has a speed controller, power supply and power contact connecting wires but doesn’t realize what they’re for. The LUG has currently enough working speed controllers and power supplies, but we don’t have any 9v power contact connecting wires that work (all of the ones we’ve used at shows recently belong to members and not the LUG). These are the ones that usually come with frayed wire insulation, are hard to find and can go for $30-$40 when you do find them (usually in Europe).
Maybe offer $125 because of the distance we’d have to travel and be willing to go to $150 if she has the other stuff as long as they’re not trashed. Akron is about 100 miles from me, and I’d be willing to make the drive if the LUG is interested in these.
September 9, 2024 at 10:04 pm #60530Phil BrenemanParticipantCould be worth having to mils for winter displays. Probably wouldn’t see a lot of the gray.
September 11, 2024 at 10:43 pm #60572Will McDineParticipantIf the LUG is considering, I approve the purchase of this.
September 12, 2024 at 5:13 pm #60581TimModeratorI also approve the expenditure up to $150.
September 12, 2024 at 10:27 pm #60585JoshKeymastershe dropped it to $125. I messaged her to see if she’d take $150 and ship it to me. She seems agreeable. I’ll keep you posted if we need more lug approvals to spend money once I get it.

FYI, I have a spool of black insulated wire that can be used to replace old LEGO wire. I have replaced wires used in technic sets but I haven’t tried 9V train wiring yet. However, I suspect @laura has expertise in train wire replacements.
September 23, 2024 at 3:26 pm #60717JoshKeymastershe didn’t have any wires or controllers.
for $150 shipped, 27 straight, 2 left switch, 2 right switch, 34 curve – all dark gray 9v. and they threw in 1 RC curve.
If we get 3 more to approve the $150 to refund me, we’ll have more to ballast/mils.
September 23, 2024 at 3:29 pm #60718Matt RedfieldKeymasterI approve this expenditure.
