Tom’s rovers blogged on TBB. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/05/10/standing-against-the-inky-blackness-of-space/#more-109855
That was news to me. Thanks @timf
May 11, 2018 at 6:54 pm #27124TimModeratorI almost missed it because the front page only had the spaceship. You have to click through to the rest of the article where they feature the rovers.

great idea to build with a limited color scheme, giving it an almost monochrome look … great practice for your DUPOCALYPSE vehicle 🙂

March 1, 2019 at 10:57 pm #30647Tom FrostParticipantThis one I’m real proud of. The Martian Minivan was chosen as the Brothers’ Brick cover image for all their social media platforms for the month of march.

March 2, 2019 at 1:34 am #30651Benjamin C GoodParticipantHuh. Good thing I told you to buy that set. I almost feel like maybe I should take full credit for this one.
March 2, 2019 at 5:14 am #30652Greg SchubertParticipantRumor has it that the 1984 Dodge Caravan was reverse engineered from one of these babies at Area 51.
more amazing work coupled with ingenious humor 😀
May 23, 2019 at 2:01 pm #31355Skipper MikeParticipantMy work had me write up a little bit for our Intranet, I included the time lapse video from First Night. Here’s the text of it.
“Like a lot of kids my I played with Lego bricks as a kid. I grew out of playing with them by High School and left them with my mom when I went on to college. I never let her get rid of them though and even bought some of the first Star Wars sets that came out in 1999. Then when my daughter was born in 2013 I realized I had an excuse, er, reason, to get them back out.
I started looking around online and saw the amazing creations that other people were building out of Lego. Eventually, I found the Steel City Lego User Group, which is a group of Adult Fans of Lego (AFOL). I joined up with the group and now participate in displays and events all over the region. I’ve personally been involved in events at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, the Chanukah Festival at the Waterfront, First Night Celebrations, and premieres of the Lego Movies. I also get to stretch my creativity while blending it with some mechanical engineering. The best part of it though is staffing events and seeing people’s eyes light up.”
May 23, 2019 at 11:18 pm #31360Benjamin C GoodParticipantThere’s a time lapse video? Can we see it?
June 1, 2019 at 1:55 pm #31456Tom FrostParticipantOne Saturday, in February, while I was busy building daily rovers, Jonah decided we needed to build this. I’m doing some spring cleaning and finally got around to photographing some misc. builds the kids did. So I posted this last week and the Lego Car Blog blogged it.

The overall effect is stunning and I had to watch the video to fully appreciate all the details. It is an encyclopedia of building techniques and unconventional part usage. It is absolutely excellent.
This should be in one of those children’s books where you have to find things like the shark jaw or the parrots.
