    Just a heads up here, it is not looking likely for me to be able to attend the install, or to get the “UP” house back in order. I will keep everyone updated, but as of right now it is not looking likely

    @tbrown00 @jrosie @tcsbgdady that all sounds great. Those of us showing up Saturday morning will work around whatever is there!

    In other news timf I know I’m late to the party but I am available July 25th to help out. Not sure if you messeged them yet.

    I am sending them a message now. I’m 90% sure I can be there as well so I am going to say Yes. Thank you @tbrown00

    Here’s what I have pulled out to add to this display. I plan to come on Saturday morning and will bring what I need to hang the dragons from the overhead trellis.

    @timf
    , are we doing any kind of battle scene? If so, I can bring a bunch of knights to add to it. If not, I might do a cave for the trolls if there’s room for it.

    This is the dragon I’ll be suspending. It’s a heavily modified version of the D&D set dragon. Sav says looks more like a griffin…oh well lol.

    @rcgrier3406 Sure, bring the knights. We can get a battle scene going. If you want to do a cave for the trolls as well, that would be great.

    @tbrown00
    I like the dragon!

    I am nearly done with this wizard, tower, mountain, waterfall, windmill thing. I still have to add foliage and figures but the main, mountain and building structure is pretty much done.

    I am running out of steam so the foliage may be less than full but I’ll do my best and get it in on Friday…..if I can carry it out!

    Sweet! Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure that the red, white, and blue castles are no longer available for display. To me it feels like when you read about famous rock bands from the 60’s and 70’s and everybody has died except one person. Greg, you’re the only survivor from the glory days.

    Make it 3- my little guy fit right between your two castles. The two large castles are amazing! I didnt want to disturb anything so i just put mine in the center aisle that was open. I was nervous about reaching around the castles so i slid mine in the open spot. Hope thats ok!

    … are there going to be transparent pieces to fill-in “water” around the base of the display?

    @timf
    has about 30,000 1×1 round plates to put in there that i gave him last week. I assume he will get everything positioned and pour where needed! That white sheet was added to the floor for just that reason. Makes the blue pop better and easy to clean up those tiny buggers!

    I tested my dragon when I was there with Jim earlier. My plan was to hang it on the right side. I wanted to makes some improvements to the legs and wings tonight so I didn’t leave it and will be there in the morning.

    More pics from this display have now been uploaded to the Gallery. To view them, click on the “Gallery” tab at the top right corner of any page, and then click on the album “2024-06 Cranberry Library”. @timf, @tbrown00, @randomdan, if you have any angles that I didn’t catch (like inside of @greg’s castle), post them here and I’ll add them to the gallery.

    How many dragons can you find??? Did you find our brave Aeronaut going “above and beyond” to battle the dragons?? Are those window reflections in @tcsbgdady’s castle, or did he really put lights inside hooked up to a timer???

    One footnote for future displays here, we should use a dark colored cloth to cover the floor (black, brown, dark green) and not white, and we should consider cutting one to fit the floor of the display case. We did our best to cover the white cloth, but you can still see it where it’s bunched up in the corners.

    Hi Cranberry friends,

    I had 2Qs
    1. Is there any spreadsheet we need to sign for the pick a brick tracker for setting up and displaying in cranberry? I wasn’t sure if this was eligible.

    2. When do we need to take down the display?

    It looks fantastic! So glad I was able to contribute.

    @jrosie Tim F marked everyone down that contributed. It won’t get put into the system till after we tear down though and everything is tallied up for setup, display and tear down. Tear Down will likely be sometime end of July/beginning of August after the Summer Reading program ends for Cranberry but we haven’t set a date/time yet to my knowledge.

    Popped into the library today to see the display. Looks great! Loved how it all came together.

    Also saw there’s a Learn LEGO from the Pros on the 24th. Did I miss a thread on that?
