Wow, I did not know that POV page existed.
“Member since Nov 27, 2000.”
On a separate note, for future events I would like to lobby for, (instead of a draft,) devising a fair way to use PaB cups to distribute the LUG’s building supply to LUG members, possibly earning a PaB cup full of parts in exchange for a certain amount of time that each person spends sorting or attending events. It provides incentive to facilitate the events that earn the parts for the LUG. It compensates people who donate their time and ensures that people get parts they intend to use. That’s just my €0.015.

ParticipantLEGO Shopt at Home has the Halloween accessories set on sale. It includes a witch, a zombie, a ghost and other scary things. These originally sold out quickly last fall. I would order several if I could find enough other stuff to reach the $75 free shipping threshold.

So are the CMF’s $3.99 @ TRU … and BOGO makes them $1.99 each?
Also, those $10 gift cards don’t last very long. This card expires on 11/2. Your best bet is to come right back in the store and use it on an additional purchase. 🙂
Give me a heads up when there is a Barnes and Noble sale. I’ve got some gift cards to spend.

ParticipantAt TRU, BOGO really means “Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF!”
Incidentally, green baseplates are $6.99 and large gray baseplates are $16.99 online. My calculations indicate that the price per stud is better for the green ones … 0.683 vs 0.737.
Of course there are all kinds of reasons that you might want the larger gray ones instead.

…right, so it actually averages out to $3 each, otherwise known as the same price as they are everywhere else.

I’d sure like to see your work on that one. Wait… you mean 0.683 cents ($0.00683), not $0.683; now I get it.

ParticipantI found the CMF at the Washington TRU for 3.19 so it ended up being about a $5 for two CMFs. And i used the coupon. Who knew toys r us could actually be cheaper for anything :P.

KeymasterBut here’s a seller w/ 3 copies, new & complete (so they say) but without boxes, for $55.95 free shipping.
POV $147, btw…
There’s a chance I’ll buy at least one of these, but I’m trying to cut back…

You also get 10% off if you open a TRU visa. I was not inspired to get anything TRU had … the closest was the $34.99 advent calendar. A pair of calendars would have cost roughly $23 each, including tax, if you count the $10 giftcard.
Robinson TRU has the big red and blue 2×4 storage bricks if you need more.

Keymasterdouble VIP points at shop.lego.com Those winter sets are priced nicely…
also, if anyone else is as into those storage boxes as I am, I just found this site:
http://fab.com/sale/26963?ltb=offer&s_g_c=1&page=1#pos=product_161802most notably, their set of 3 is a decent deal compared to buying them separately. http://fab.com/product/storage-brick-set-of-3-265351/?ref=sale&pos=1

KeymasterAnyone have an opinion / expertise as to the value of this lot? If there’s any working monorail stuff, it’d surely cause the lot to exceed the current bid of $31.50…
Also, interesting that this Goodwill chapter (Portland, OR) has taken to sorting LEGO donations and auctioning on eBay instead of just selling in the store(s)… they must have an AFOL or have received a tip that these goods are worth more than they were getting… (they have lots of other listings, too. Mostly “8+ lbs. of LEGO bricks!” kind of stuff…)
October 24, 2013 at 1:36 pm #3863Josh
KeymasterI actually think that’s goodwill policy not to sell bulk lots in stores and send them all to a central listing place. They actually have their own auction site…but there aren’t any deals that I’ve ever seen there.
http://www.shopgoodwill.com/listings/listByCat.asp?catID=388&ending=Items
as to your specific listing, there are 4 more days. it will sky rocket. just based on resell value though, I wouldn’t pay more than 60.

ParticipantAt TARGET in the decoration section, not the toy section, were several dozen polybags of witch heads @ $4.99.
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=40032-1
These will go on sale tomorrow morning, probably 50% off, then in a few days 75% off if they don’t sell before then.
