Haunted House w/ $30 gift card at Target (and other high-end sets, various sized gift cards.) Kind of circumventing LEGO’s new policy of no discounts on big sets.
December 14, 2013 at 8:44 am #4465Greg SchubertParticipantSaw this, want to get 2 using my Target card (before Target gets caught) 🙂
January 21, 2014 at 9:37 pm #4912JoshKeymastergrabbed a 9449 ninjago set for $40 today. parts out to over $100 avg last sold. chris from bricks on the dollar was just saying that target is dropping prices around now. might be a good time to stop in your local bull’s eye.
January 21, 2014 at 9:56 pm #4913Matt RedfieldKeymasterYou got that at Target, Josh? Yeah, I’ve had my eye on various Targets (including in Ohio and WV, since I was passing through those states recently) but haven’t had much luck with any jaw-dropping clearance sales. My approach has been, if I’m near one, I’ll go, but I’m not gonna drive all around the city just looking for a deal… because I’ve spent way too much on LEGO lately anyway, and staying away is the best way to not spend. Hang on, I’ma check Amazon.com real quick and see if they have any sales.
January 22, 2014 at 7:21 am #4914Greg SchubertParticipantWalMart near me seemed to have some returns – got 3 mirkwood spiders for $10 each, glad I held out on those until they were “all gone”. Also there was a TMNT shellraiser, I think it was the normal price, but I have not seen one of those for some time.
February 4, 2014 at 6:55 pm #5072Greg SchubertParticipant36 minifigs + bucket of bricks plus lots of space parts for about $100 with shipping:
February 5, 2014 at 9:06 am #5089David BaconParticipantSomeone in Jeannette is off-loading a lot of good Lego sets on Craigslist. Of particular note is the UCS Naboo Starfighter, and the 4483 AT-AT Walker! If I lived closer or the roads weren’t as bad as they are, I would definitely go there for a couple of these deals.
February 21, 2014 at 9:33 am #5284Nick ChenParticipantA couple weeks back, Walmart cleared out a few Lego sets.
Creator 31006 Highway Speedster for $17
Creator 31005 Construction Hauler $13
Galaxy Squad 70705 Bug Obliterator (orange ship/car) $49There were some others I cant recall. The 70705 is still there at $49.
Yesterday my wife and I were in Walmart again and we picked up Galaxy Squad 70709 Galactic Titan for only $49!!!! Last one sorry. And they had the Spongebob Flying Dutchman for $17. There was a chima set and one more Flying dutchman.
My friend, in Monroeville, found me the new 75019 AT-TE at Target on clearance for $69. Sadly also one left. So he got it for me.
February 21, 2014 at 9:37 am #5285Nick ChenParticipantOh also, Tuesday Morning has Lego The Lone Ranger 79109 Colby City Showdown for $29.99 and 79110 Silver Mine for $39.99
February 22, 2014 at 2:37 pm #5295Benjamin C GoodParticipantI must’ve been too slow, I was there on Friday and there wasn’t anything good left. There was one 70002 Lennox’ Lion Attack for $17, which is a good price. I definitely would’ve picked up Colby City for $29.99, but it wasn’t there anymore, sniff. (I assume the Cranberry Walmart is the one on 19 next to the Office Max and Toys R Us, if there’s another one up there I don’t know about it.)
I picked up the 75019 AT-TE at the McCandless Target a week ago for under $70 as well, so it’s possible people can still find them at various Targets around town. Also, usually once they’re on sale at Target, they’re on sale at Amazon too.
February 22, 2014 at 5:09 pm #5296Nick ChenParticipantSorry for the confusion. There is a small chain store called “Tuesday Morning”. The one in Cranberry is next to the Cinemas and Subway.
I only saw one Colby City, which I bought. But the one in Sewickley has some. Technically Leetsdale.
February 25, 2014 at 6:21 pm #5313Greg SchubertParticipantI have three Mirkwood spider sets from Wal*Mart that were $21 plus sales tax. Is anyone interested in these? I am considering returning them … although the receipt has an August date on it, making it a little past the 90 day return policy time limit.
February 26, 2014 at 9:11 am #5317Benjamin C GoodParticipantHa, I totally thought you meant you saw them Tuesday morning at Walmart. I’m not familiar with those stores, I’ll have to see if I can find them.
March 1, 2014 at 9:00 pm #5371Greg SchubertParticipanteBay item: 181085058976
This has to be the highest cost per ounce I’ve ever seen for a LEGO product … a single cheese slope for $3.75.
March 1, 2014 at 9:09 pm #5372JoshKeymasterLol. Not a cheese slope, a smooth slant finishing tile plate.

March 1, 2014 at 10:59 pm #5374AnonymousInactiveHey guys,
I was talking to Nick today at the library. I dont know if any of you know about this, (I’m sure you do, but just in case.)
As of right now, 24 active pages of lego for sale…
It’s all auction based, but I just pulled a castle set NIB unopened from the series before last for $20.00
Hope it helps!
It would probably be a good idea, to post if you’re bidding on something so we dont compete with each other.Joel

ShopGoodwill.com, from stores as far away as Eugene OR … wow this is mind blowing! They have SO MUCH stuff! It makes it seem like donated LEGO parts are abundant.
I thought this was an interesting auction: eBay 121286378008
Its 95 lbs of parts and 21 lbs of instructions for $400 + $75 shipping, its currently a good deal if you want to bolster your part selection and you have time to sort. It combines old space, including Mission to Mars, and new star wars sets. But its a new auction, so no telling how high it will go.

March 2, 2014 at 9:55 am #5393AnonymousInactiveMarch 2, 2014 at 11:46 am #5394Matt RedfieldKeymasterPickup only, in Orange County. Long drive for 36lbs of bricks… :/
March 2, 2014 at 12:09 pm #5395Greg SchubertParticipantSo that raises the question, is it possible to search this shopgoodwill.com site by location? I searched on Cranberry and Butler and got matches, but nothing that had to do with store locations.
March 2, 2014 at 4:45 pm #5401AnonymousInactiveBoth sets that I’ve picked up from there were shipped to me, one was from Orange County, one was from Nashville. I think its lot and store specific.
March 2, 2014 at 6:27 pm #5405AnonymousInactive3 different sets clearanced.
$20.00 and $30.00 looks like originally 70 and 80.March 2, 2014 at 6:29 pm #5406AnonymousInactiveSet 70005 30.00
70705 30.00 5 left
70708 2 left 20.00
March 7, 2014 at 7:54 pm #5545Greg SchubertParticipantIs anyone in need of lots of DUPLO to build supports for larger structures? I used a bunch of DUPLO bricks in making the supports for my yellow castle, then I covered the DUPLO parts with LEGO parts in varying shades of gray.
It seems like 10 cents each is a good price for 2×2 and 2×4 DUPLO bricks. Keep in mind that each one takes up 8 times the volume of a LEGO brick with the same number of studs.
For example, the seller of this auction might be willing to accept a package deal on all three of their DUPLO auctions:
