I have used the LEGO Digital Designer app to create a few things virtually including instructions for my large LEGO Christmas tree. I knew that LEGO was no longer supporting the software, but what I did not know was that it would not work at all once I installed the latest Mac operating system, Catalina.
“The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.” 🙁
“You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous of which is, ‘never get involved in building a LEGO railroad tunnel with curves,’ but only slightly less well-known is this: ‘Never trust Apple to not screw you over somehow with a new product/software/OS release!'”
I haven’t used LDD or STUD.IO at all in probably close to a years time, but unless Brick Link did changes to the software, I did not find the controls of the program to be very user friendly. That and I hate where the parts library is.
