Paula confirmed on Instagram that the store reopens on Saturday at 11 am.

I asked Paula and there is not at the moment, but they’re working on it for hopefully next week or so.
She did also mention that curbside is suspended and selection since they’ve been selling the past two weeks. She’s hopeful for a new shipment later this week.

Maybe they can go back to selling K-2 cases or some other pre-sorted and allocated bricks. Or maybe have disposable gloves for people to use while handling the cups and the pieces. Although the same potential “touch” issue remains for the sets – people picking them up and then putting them back. My suggestion is just have some additional hand sanitizer and reply on people’s common sense to keep their hands as clean as possible, not touch their face, and not cough or sneeze without covering their mouths (you know, the things we were all taught in kindergarten).
June 18, 2020 at 6:53 pm #36515Jim RolfeParticipantI nearly made it in today, but my kids killed that idea. Is there anything left?
I read Singapore has pick a brick open. They have a menu, you pick items, the employees fill the cup, you pay and go home happily with new parts! Maybe the US stores will start doing this. Not sure I want anyone else packing my cup though. It is a personal challenge for every cup, every time for me!

I strongly agree. I would want to pack my own cups. Maybe if there is some hand sanitizer available (or one brings one own), that would be sufficient.
June 18, 2020 at 7:59 pm #36520Skipper MikeParticipantI went the weekend just before everything started getting shut down. What they had done at that time with the PaB wall was regularly spraying the bricks down with sanitizer. There was a sign that the bricks might be wet. Frankly, I’d take 10% less bricks in my cup if it meant not being exposed to a dangerous virus. But for the time being, I don’t have any plans to go to the mall anyway.
June 20, 2020 at 7:57 am #36528PaulaParticipantHeeeeey howdy hey! We will be having the menu board, so you get to pick from the wall and we’ll fill the cups for you. We are going to have that up and running today! We were told to overfill but that will never match putting things together brick by brick. We will not be accepting personal cups but if you let the team know you are a lug member we’ll give you the discount on new ones. The weekend tends to have lines outside, fyi. If you come today or tomorrow, expect a wait. Thanks friends!
Exciting news: Lambo is on it’s way and Monkie Kid is in store now!June 20, 2020 at 8:35 am #36529Jim RolfeParticipantHeeeeey howdy hey! Yay and glad you’re back in full swing! I am afraid that seeing Monkey Kid in person will only fuel my eagerness to buy it so now I may have to rethink coming to the store! ???

June 21, 2020 at 12:13 pm #36538Bob GrierParticipantWhile I was at the LEGO Store this morning, I took some pics and got some more details from @paulamalu as to how the PAB Wall is going to work under the “new normal”. The Menu board is now in a display case directly in front of you as you enter the store. The board has all of the available parts listed by number. There are also Mystery Cups #1 and #2 with a mixed bag of parts in them.
The options available to you are to get 1/4 scoop, 1/2 scoop, full scoop, half cup and full cup of each part you want. Examples of the scoop sizes are in the display case. To order, you have to fill out an order form in the store indicating the part number and scoop or cup size you want. Then, one of Paula’s employees must fill the cups as she’s mentioned before. Depending on how busy they are in the store, they may ask you go out in the mall and to come back a little later to pick your order up. Remember that they have a limit on the number of people that can be in the store at any one time, so she may discourage waiting in the store especially if there is a line outside to get in (which there has been lately).
First pic is the current Menu board as of today – 6/21/20.

For me, this system will really only work for small parts. Anything 2×2 and bigger, I would want to stack and pack. It may mean that Pick-a-brick at Lego.com becomes a more cost effective means of bulk big parts (and Bricklink of course).

July 1, 2020 at 8:30 am #36570Jim RolfeParticipant@timf, I thought the same thing. There are a couple bigger parts there I want but unless you can hand fill them, Pick A Brick online may be better.
July 8, 2020 at 1:36 pm #36590JoshKeymasterstopped in today with the girls and there were 4 more lion dance sets

I wasn’t very thrilled with the overall effect of the new LEGO store “experience” though. For me a large part of what I looked forward to at the store was going and filling PAB cups, or digging through the BAM bins, and playing with the parts in the displays and interactive displays. I understand this is the “new norm” for the time being but I just cant dig it. Nothing against the store though, like always the staff was very kind and friendly, And of course I left with a Lamborghini.
July 10, 2020 at 9:22 am #36597PaulaParticipanthey friends. phew! It’s been a crazy month! I’m happy to say that we are starting to get some goodies back in —> Haunted House, Sian, Croc Train, IM Helmet are all here and I heard that the Barracuda Bay is on its way! We got in some oldies but goodies too —-> Treehouse, Bugatti, Assembly Square, Corner Garage, 1989 Batmobile, Disney Castle! Things we’re still waiting on: Star Wars May the Fourth launch and Dom’s charger. Shipment is only Thursdays right now, so don’t hesitate to call with questions.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and support! We are grateful to all of you even if you can’t make it in store!
Be safe, and Play Well!August 22, 2020 at 10:16 am #36883TeaCakeParticipantAny chance the summer sets are available ahead of Sept1? I see them out at target and Walmart
August 22, 2020 at 10:21 am #36884Jim RolfeParticipantYes are said to be releasing after 8/24 thru 9/1-ish. So head to the Lego store every day next week.
Or, Target today as they had them all our last week.
August 22, 2020 at 3:45 pm #36885PaulaParticipantHey hey hey!
So we’re getting limited quantities of August launch items on the 24th. Partner stores can sell it when ever they receive it but to keep the stores in line with each other, the company has asked us all to launch on Monday. HOWEVER, Harry Potter has now been pushed to September the 1st.
And when I say limited, I mean LIMITED. That doesn’t mean we won’t see them again! But to launch, they needed to spread it out to all stores.
I hope this was helpful!
Best,

@skippermike, I was at the store about a week ago (9/7) and took this pic of the PAB menu. Should be close to what they have.Attachments:

I’m so thankful that our AFOL’s here have been so patient with us as we get used to new procedures. We want to extend an invitation to you that has to be confirmed on our end: for Saturday’s AFOL Day we can accommodate two people every half hour to pack your own cups (we will still pull your parts for you) by reservation. That means from 10am -1030am and 1030am-11am on Saturday. We also have 11am – 1130am and 1130am -12pm on Sunday. This is a strict half hour, to be fair, and you must email and receive a conformation from the store email.
