Sure; sometimes I’ll go days without logging into the site if I’m not getting notifications of new posts on threads to which I’ve subscribed, so I can tend to miss new threads… and if they’re not interesting, I’ll just delete them along with the hundreds of other e-mails I get!

As a matter of coincidence, the most recent version of the forum I installed last week added a feature to subscribe to individual forums at will. Click on any of the forums and there will be a subscribe link at top left. Once you’re subscribed, you’ll get notices of new threads. This gives us the ability to customize notification for only bricklink bandwagon posts, or not to get notices on site admin threads, etc.

OK, so I’ve read the post and subscribed to ALL THE THREADS; feel free to take me off the other plugin.

bumping this thread, so people know they can subscribe the the forums to get new topic creation notifications that way. That was connection to why Dave and Matt were getting replies (they subscribed to the forum) and the author of the plugin wasn’t polling subscribers to the topic alone.
