November 20, 2020 at 3:27 pm #37512Rich MillichParticipantThis is also a suuuuuper easy intro into building Space if you’ve never tried before.
Fun!
At least I don’t have to think about a closed cockpit! Just a good old 2×6 plate and some wedge plates to start. Studly!
November 22, 2020 at 11:29 am #37536Tom FrostParticipantI built most of mine yesterday during the meeting. @randomdan, does the minifig count against the 35 parts?
This was a great idea BTW. We should do more of these.
November 22, 2020 at 12:57 pm #37537DanParticipantThe minifig does not count towards the 35 parts, but accessories (beyond helmet/air tanks) do.
I think we can arrange these more frequently ?

Cosmic Comet II
a small recon craft used by the Federation Search and Rescue Team (stay tuned…)
I tried to retain many of the physical characteristics of the original. There are exactly 35 parts, plus the minifig.

Simple parts and elegant result!
November 29, 2020 at 9:52 pm #37619DanParticipantI finished my skiff this evening. I’ll take some pictures in daylight tomorrow.

Thanks, Dan. I can’t wait to see your version.
November 30, 2020 at 3:32 pm #37634Benjamin C GoodParticipantI have an idea for an entry but I have to find some parts to finish it. I should get my pic posted either this evening or tomorrow.
November 30, 2020 at 3:49 pm #37635Rich MillichParticipantI sm gonna try to play beat the clock for midmight tonight. No special presentation. My PC died anyway.
November 30, 2020 at 7:51 pm #37636Rich MillichParticipantOuter Colonies craft RK/SP-303 Rockskipper, built for higher gravity super low atmospheric flight. Skim the sands.
35 parts exactly.
The secret to the construction lies below.

November 30, 2020 at 8:05 pm #37652Rich MillichParticipant@randomdan. Those LBG 1×2 panels to hold the long hoses in. Smart. And the guts to go with those long hoses in the first place. Trans-dark blue. And two sets of flight lights. Win.
November 30, 2020 at 8:11 pm #37653Rich MillichParticipant@tfdesigns. I really dig those 1×10 curved slopes so tight to the whip antenna. All aspects of the original set are there, super tightly packed and all shaping improved. I also dig the little scoop on the front.
