I could meet later this week. Let me know the details.
May 16, 2017 at 5:53 pm #21561Greg SchubertParticipantI have not contacted the person with the craigslist ad in Cranberry, I figured that anyone able to pick up the set would arrange a convenient time and place.

https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tag/6216780701.html
did you go buy $1k of parts for $125?
July 13, 2017 at 8:44 pm #22347JoshKeymasternot me. They said they sold it already?
July 14, 2017 at 10:01 am #22356Matt RedfieldKeymasterI feel like we need clarification, @greg. If this is still out there, and if it’s anywhere near as good a deal as they say it is, somebody needs to go get it!
July 14, 2017 at 10:15 am #22357Greg SchubertParticipantWhen I first saw the listing, the location was the dealer-breaker for me personally, so I did not investigate further.
July 14, 2017 at 10:19 am #22358Matt RedfieldKeymasterOK, I’ve just reached out to determine whether it’s still available.
August 4, 2017 at 7:39 am #22613Greg SchubertParticipantIf it was me, and I did not get to go to Brickfair, and I lived in the South Hills, I would definitely hit up this yardsale … the day before it is scheduled.

Our ravine is way better than this thing.
August 13, 2017 at 10:45 am #22731Benjamin C GoodParticipantI’m gonna agree with Pete on this one. Maybe that is passing as a ‘canyon’ in Kansas or something, but it’s looking like the world’s flattest canyon to me.

$100 seems cheap for the effort that must have gone into these – Slippery Rock is about an hour North of me, does the LUG want one of these for displays? It would be a LOT of storage space … could we partner with a library to store it?

August 25, 2017 at 5:39 am #22937Greg SchubertParticipantIf you have a truck to move it, this FIRST LEGO League table is reasonably priced, if you think your kids my ever get into the robotics competitions: It took me the better part of a day to build and paint one and I think the materials were about $50.

it looks fairly complete … might need a steering wheel, another door, an anchor … and I think this ship is supposed to have the cannons with springs that actually can shoot 1×1 round bricks
August 31, 2017 at 3:46 pm #23036Greg SchubertParticipantIs anyone interested in this LEGO display case?
https://lancaster.craigslist.org/tag/d/lego-display-case/6275925724.html
I will be going there this weekend. What would you offer for it? What would be the perfect display to place inside? Something from a planet that is completely yellow? (No thank you for the jokes on the color of Uranus.)
August 31, 2017 at 9:27 pm #23058Benjamin C GoodParticipantI’m curious as to what somebody might offer for it as well, since he gives no suggestions whatsoever.
And if somebody decides on it after Greg leaves town, I will be there the following weekend, in fact I should be driving right by there at some point, since my parents now live in Millersville.
September 2, 2017 at 6:10 am #23088Greg SchubertParticipantI will be there the following weekend

Dangit, Greg, I’m not supposed to be spending money on LEGO right now!
Although, actually, those prices don’t look all that favorable, anyway…
