You could fit a lot of tables and Legos in there. I don’t see what Lego wrap he’s referring to in the ad pics though.
September 14, 2017 at 10:32 pm #23338Greg SchubertParticipantThe only reason it came up as LEGO is because the dude wrote that the “Legos can be removed” when he mean that the “logos can be removed.” 🙂

Lulz.
Josh – for a sec, I thought this was gonna be SPR’s van – he was telling me Sundee that he’s thinking of selling it… #threadjack #nobodyelseknowsSPR
September 14, 2017 at 10:35 pm #23340Benjamin C GoodParticipantHa, that’s pretty funny. And yet I wasn’t smart enough to figure it out. I was looking for the Lego tape inside the van as a way to hold up small tools or something.
September 14, 2017 at 10:43 pm #23341JoshKeymasterFull disclosure, when I bought my minivan in august 2015, I had been looking for a 12 passenger van with removable seats. My family had one when I was a kid and I loved it. I just couldn’t find a reasonably priced one, or one with “something for the kids”. Once they’re older…I may be more likely to change my vehicle.
September 15, 2017 at 5:45 am #23343PeteParticipantI say we pass on the van. We don’t know what condition it is in.

I say we pass on Pete’s advice, we don’t know what condition he was in when he

September 15, 2017 at 7:27 am #23347Greg SchubertParticipantDo you think anyone is seriously considering buying a random van that just happened to show up in a craigslist search for LEGO because the owner mispelled the word logo?
September 15, 2017 at 10:44 am #23348Benjamin C GoodParticipantYeah, it may or may not work as well as he says, but 100000 miles is enough to deter me.
September 24, 2017 at 11:36 am #23425Greg SchubertParticipantWhy are all the best listings in the South Hills?

October 29, 2017 at 4:09 pm #23968Phil BrenemanParticipantA nice collection from late 80s/early 90s highlighted by Eldorado and Seaport. Price seems reasonable for what you get.

November 9, 2017 at 7:27 pm #24198JoshKeymastergot this from a friend on facebook:
hey Josh, a coworker of mine is looking to sell his lego’s. he has them listed on craigslist. I thought you might be interested.
https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tag/d/lego-collection/6365838504.html
he said to make him an offer if you are interested.if people wanted to pick what they’d pay for a set, maybe pooling resources would get him a number he’s happy for. I am not interested in any.
December 21, 2017 at 8:05 am #24945Greg SchubertParticipantSome great sets for sale in Bethel Park, including a monorail. I did not try to price it out, but at first glance, $4k seems
rather ambitious.https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tag/d/massive-lego-collection/6432726464.html

January 24, 2018 at 8:35 pm #25832Greg SchubertParticipantIn case its gone by the time anyone reads this, I posted a screenshot below.
https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/clt/d/lego-large-tote-and-150-people/6470613423.html
60 pounds of LEGO and 150 minifigs. I contacted the guy and was supposed to go to his house, but had a change of heart. I though it was a good deal considering that LEGO usually sells for about $10 a pound and minifigs are easily worth $2 each, AND he had some Harry Potter stuff. I realized that I did not want to spend the time sorting … which generally keeps me from having time to build.

https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/eve/d/frosty-rails-train-show-2018/6473110657.html
Why is an event like this called a train “show” when the main reason for having it is to SELL trains, not SHOW them?

If you read the Description it claims there will be operating displays, so technically it does qualify as a show!
March 10, 2018 at 11:08 am #26318Greg SchubertParticipantI am thinking of getting this lot of minifigs: https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tag/d/lego-minifigs-lot-of-89/6517085834.html
Were Chinese counterfeits made of the collectible minifigs?

Probs. But still, that’s a pretty good price (I mean, if you need two bathrobe Batmans…)
April 15, 2018 at 7:24 am #26794Greg SchubertParticipantSomeone near Upper St. Clair has posted a bunch of used sets at a reasonable price. I would get these

if I lived near there.

April 19, 2018 at 12:01 pm #26830Greg SchubertParticipantIt would make a great LEGO truck, its already painted brick yellow! I did not know about the bread truck dream, but I can see the appeal. Apparently this guy did too:

Zach, you live in NYC, do you know this guy?
