It might have been a good reason to go to Brickfair, Alabama.

Participant>> Anyway, since this is threadjacking, has anyone ever heard of https://bricksandminifigs.com/ Apparently they have several brick and mortar franchise stores but the closest ones to us are in MI, KY and CT.
I’d never heard of this one before. Apparently they spread stores all over the country in a careful plan to put as many in and yet make sure that exactly zero of them were conveniently located to us.
I don’t know if they’ll have anything worth buying or good prices, but I’m curious enough about this that I’m gonna plan on checking out the one in CT in May, since I’ll literally drive right by it on the way to BFNE.

Participant>> Poltergeist or 2-year-old?
Since nobody responded to this one, I’ll go ahead and point out that this is both hilarious and adorable.

<< It might have been a good reason to go to Brickfair, Alabama.I didn’t know about this one either, and it seems a little strange to me that since it’s an official Lego event, they haven’t gotten more locations for it. Still, it’s some impressive builds, I’d go check it out if ends up at a location convenient for me.
Not that it matters, but it actually didn’t overlap with BFAL, which occurred last weekend; the roadshow isn’t arriving in AL til next weekend. If you need a good reason to go to BFAL next year though, Todd just reported via email newsletter that outdoor temperatures at the event last weekend were in the 70’s.

ParticipantAn email from Cale indicated that the next AFOL day is Feb 4th, but I thought that someone recently mentioned on this site that it was Feb 11th. Do we have the dates somewhere?

ModeratorAFOL Days are February 4, April 29, August 5, and November 4.
August 5 is right during BrickFair VA so the Tysons Corner and Potomac Mills Stores will be slammed.

If you do that you’re gonna need a frozen lake for the ice fishermen.

Keymaster‘
This thread says they’ve “found a picture”, but I don’t see a pic…
I love the model. I’m stoked that it’s not licensed. Ideas wasn’t created to be “here’s a franchise I ‘member! let’s make a set!” But I share the concerns about either (a) LEGO bastardizing the set to make it cheaper or (b) leaving it largely as-is but having it cost $200+. We shall see.

Participant@greg this seems to be a problem with the plugin on our website beacause the Steel City LUG group on Flickr is fine.
