Our Philly-area friend Mark sent this my way because it’s pickup only. Anyone / several people wanna get frisky tonight?

March 24, 2022 at 9:43 am #43752JoshKeymasterthe bidding history was hidden until after the auction. The only reason they won was because they bid earlier.

Well, sure… my point was more “don’t bid a round number if you want to win”
March 24, 2022 at 12:40 pm #43754JoshKeymasterthat sounds chaotic.
and the more people that use that logic when placing bids, the less benefit the logic has…and maybe even to the detriment. where is the line??

I don’t always eBay, but when I do, I do not bid early… I set an alarm for a couple minutes before the auction ends, then snipe with 7 seconds left.

If your interest in the item is casual, it makes sense to not necessarily have your money tied up in it until the end, but if you really want the item, and you really know the maximum you can bid on it, why not place it right away? Then you don’t have to be logged on when the auction ends.
