ParticipantYou asked for an explanation?
I asked someone who I know is still a member of the group to try to find out why.
I wonder if I posted something and my sense of humor was not appreciated. exhibit A (from a different facebook page)

KeymasterI see no offense (or humor) there 🙂
Hope the mods respond with a valid reason! It’s just not Christmas without a Greg build! They should know that.

… except that I used the guy’s name to say that the car would be “dusting roads”

KeymasterOh…I didn’t catch that pun. Jokes are always funnier when you explain them. Probably would have been more evident verbally.

ParticipantWhat would you think about starting a “Go Fund Me” to buy this for Matt’s house?

KeymasterIf there aren’t curves in there, I don’t want it.
(Also, what’s the vibe for the trains? “ancient castle meets present day / futuristic repopulation…?)

ParticipantYou could add some bookcases and books – Belle loves books (said in the voice of “Terry loves yogurt.”). Overall, looks great!
Thanks! This is supposed to be like the ballroom in the Disney production, but the contest size limit is 32×32 studs, so it looks rather small. C’est la vie.

OK, I did not pick up on the ballroom theme (the outfits are from that scene but I thought this was in the foyer or just a mash up of the castle, not that particular room). Love all the details!

ParticipantHave I mentioned that there were TWO prizes and only THREE entries for the winter build contest at toysnbricks.com? IDK, maybe one contributing factor to the low turnout might have been that virtual entries were not permitted and many LEGO builders who are online use LEGO studio. Maybe the prizes were not appealing … anyway, I opted for the LEGO gift card.

ParticipantThis past weekend, I discovered in a cactus garden that @randomdan has a genus and species name also.

KeymasterI’d say “safety in numbers, they can’t catch everyone” except my wife and I proved that to be untrue last month, as we parked between several cars all of which had tickets 45 minutes later, resulting in a total cost of approximately $70 for two milkshakes…
That said, from my understanding of that combination of signs, you should be good today.

ParticipantI found your car, @bengood921. It wasn’t easy, I tracked it down at the Country Store in Mount Joy.

What kind of person would put their name on a vanity plate, anyway?

Yeah, that John Sauder guy is a real egomaniac. 😀
(I know that’s the plate holder; I just couldn’t resist making a bad joke.)

KeymasterThe joke is that FROST has one:)
April 10, 2025 at 8:24 pm #63980Matt Redfield
KeymasterI mean I was behind a Tesla that said “PASS GAS” yesterday, so “FROST” seems downright cool, in comparison…

That guy is clearly an imposter, I haven’t been in Mount Joy in at least ten years. I think a bigger question is, why were you in Mount Joy?
