In the unending search for irony, does anyone like the idea of a FRIENDS Death Star?
You had me at “Death Star”.
July 3, 2017 at 7:50 pm #22175ShaunParticipantWell crap.
Ann says thanks for the info. She was really hoping to get it at TRU because of the rewards. We have $145 about to expire. That would really help offset the cost of the set.
We’d love to take advantage of the double VIP points, but right now it’s just too expensive to pay full price. The same vet bills we charged to get the $145 in rewards are killing the finances. ๐
Thanks again for the info.
July 2, 2017 at 12:45 pm #22159ShaunParticipantThanks for the advice, links and information; I’ll pass this on to her. ๐
May 13, 2017 at 1:54 pm #21539ShaunParticipantIf you can pick up the playbrick on your way, that makes sense, and avoids me having to go all that way and back.
I like the “build something with this random cup of bits then tell everybody about it” idea. It’s creative, engaging, and good for any age group.
May 10, 2017 at 9:38 pm #21509ShaunParticipantOkay, I checked out the well-written Challenge Guide. Lots of good info there for the bridge and tower activities.
Depends on who else will be there, but I was there last time when you were leading the activities. So if you’re not there, I’ll have some idea of what to do.
I live near Monongahela, so it would be some back-and-forth for me to pick up the playbrick from Josh’s on Saturday afternoon. It would make more sense for somebody else who lives closer to pick it up and take it back, but I can if needed.
April 22, 2017 at 12:39 pm #21341ShaunParticipantYes, I can do it
At any time, any day
Staffing events? Fun!January 28, 2017 at 4:12 pm #20116ShaunParticipantNaaaaah, it’s okay. I promise they’re only out in the sun for a few minutes before bundling them all up into my loving arms like a squidgy-faced little baby and rushing inside for a thorough sorting while singing my favourite lullabies and feeding them only the purest hand-milked grass-fed goat’s milk.
January 27, 2017 at 5:04 pm #20093ShaunParticipantYup, I wash everything bought used except sealed bags, sticker sheets, minifig’s capes, and other obvious stuff that can’t be washed. I use a big plastic tub of warm soapy water, then strain out through a mesh drawer organizer, and spread it all out on a sheet to dry in the driveway. (or you could just throw it all in your spin dryer HAHAHAHA)

My arrival? Five thirty.
Delicious coffee.August 24, 2016 at 3:19 pm #17503ShaunParticipantI’d drive 10 minutes
So I could do either date
After 5 o’clockAugust 8, 2016 at 8:16 am #17291ShaunParticipantI have a bunch of those plates in other colours, but not yellow.
I’ve never parted out a set that has them, but I see that 31023 Yellow Racers has 3 each of both left and right.
It’s only $30 at TRU, but the 6-month average part out value is $27 so that’s hilariously so not worth it.
July 3, 2015 at 10:06 am #12304ShaunParticipantThere’s a list of requirements for this style of ship on that Flickr page:
-Must have 2 crew members per ship (pilot & navigator)
-No weapons
-Must look FAST ๐
-The crazier the colour scheme the betterI already have a general idea of what mine will look like
June 30, 2015 at 8:53 pm #12232ShaunParticipantI recently saw a windscreen for $20 and thought that was high.
Shaun, could you get an avatar that is not quite as scary โฆ like maybe this one?
LOL! ๐
I use the same pic for every website profile… something about maintaining brand consistency and all that. -
