Would anyone be interested in doing a LUG draft tomorrow or Friday night?Um.
Draft of what?

I was thinking 21019 eiffel tower, it’s only 35 and can be picked up at the Lego Store only minutes away. We could do it any time, just thought it might be a fun LUG activity.

April 15, 2015 at 2:46 am #11091JoeParticipantI’ll be the there for both Thursday and Friday. I just need a place to crash and shower, a spot on floor is more than good enough for me.
March 2, 2015 at 7:13 pm #10622JoeParticipantWelcome Kevin, what Unit are you with? I’m the AGR Supply Sergeant for the 915th Transportation Company located SmithField PA.
March 2, 2015 at 7:08 pm #10621JoeParticipantDue to me only attending Thursday and Friday, I plan on spending most/all of my time at the convention. But would defiantly be on board to attend a LUG dinner, if it’s near the convention hall.
February 20, 2015 at 4:57 am #10457JoeParticipantYep, I’m in for Thursday and Friday night just let me know what I owe. thanks….
February 16, 2015 at 7:50 pm #10435JoeParticipantThanks, A building based off “south side steaks”. A pic is posted a few post up on this page.
February 5, 2015 at 8:46 pm #10354JoeParticipantOfficially Registered!!!
February 1, 2015 at 7:18 am #10293JoeParticipantMatt- Thanks for the offer, but I’ll just register for the full package, who knows maybe I’ll find a way to make it Thursday as well. I know a five hour drive each way seems like a lot for one day, but I think it has the potential to be TOTALLY worth it. I’m really looking forward to spending the day with fellow AFOL, and talking to builders about their creation.
Ben- I’m not sure if I’ll have anything new/display worthy by then or not but I have been thinking about try to recreate this building from Carson Street in LEGO, I’ll keep you posted. As far as sleeping on floor, it will total be awful, but I’ll manage for a night.

I’m willing to drive up early Friday morning, spending the night, and then leave early Saturday. Do they sell one day tickets on the day the event or do I need to do the full registration? Would it be possible for me to chip in for one night ($25-$35)? I have a sleeping bag and pillow, so I’d only need a spot on the floor.
December 29, 2014 at 7:56 pm #9797JoeParticipantThanks guys, after i get some sorting done. I hope to finally start on the pizza shop, it may be my first 32×32.
December 29, 2014 at 4:19 pm #9787JoeParticipanta pic of the last two buildings I’ve done, both still need a little work, but for the most part they’re complete.

November 24, 2014 at 10:46 am #9115JoeParticipant14. Phone Booth (Super Man) When I told my son about this he ask what a phone booth was (he’s 10yrs old)….
November 24, 2014 at 10:11 am #9110JoeParticipantThe LEGO Movie had the exact opposite effect on me. It taught me to not be a Lord Business type, my Kids, Wife, Brother, Sister-n-law, and Parents all called/referred to me as Lord Business for weeks after the movie came out, LOL. They even went out and bought me Lord Business Large Minifig that I now keep on the self to remind me LEGO (even my LEGO) can be touched by children, LOL….. But with all that said, Emma (my 11 month old) is not quit ready to be around LEGO, even if she live in a house full of it.

I really like the steps, shield, railing, and med blue door, but the rest of it’s just not screaming GREAT. I open to any suggestion you guys/ladies have…..
November 24, 2014 at 9:33 am #9099JoeParticipantStarted a new build very Market Street inspired, but not happy at all with how the first floor has turned out. Please give some input, I know it’s hard to fit a lot of detail in a 16 stud wide building but this one needs more don’t want to half a$$ the dark blue. Any input will be welcome, the second floor will be sand blue, just waiting on the parts

I have two 16×32 building I can contribute (Octan Grocer and GB HQ v2), if you still have room and I’ll sign up a few days on the doodle tonight, just want to double check my availability.
October 16, 2014 at 10:07 pm #8278JoeParticipantI’m taking my kids to the Washington Toysrus for this…. I’ll let you guys know how it goes for future events.
October 10, 2014 at 10:30 am #8189JoeParticipantI’ll mils it tonight and Ben has the inverted slopes…. So it should be “Show” ready tomorrow.
October 10, 2014 at 10:03 am #8187JoeParticipantI dig it. It’s coming to BFL Cincy next week, right?
Sure you can take it…. Do you want it MILS’d and will you be at Josh’s tomorrow?
October 9, 2014 at 9:22 am #8151JoeParticipantI wasn’t able to take off Monday as planned, but I did find some time to work on it last night. I still need two inverted dark read slopes for the right second floor window, but beside that it’s done. I decided to keep the “Octan” sign, it’s my favorite part of the building (Lord Business even has his hands in the small grocers of Bricksburg).
I did try to clean up the door, by adding more brown and taking out the black. I think everyone was right about needing two windows on top, I tried a few thing, but settled with original style of the GG second floor windows.
I’ll try to take better pics this weekend and get them on Flickr. Thanks for all input, I will diffidently do this again. It was great getting feedback from other builders. Let me know what you guys think of the “Octan Grocer”

October 6, 2014 at 2:15 pm #8072JoeParticipantJoe are you going to Josh’s house next Saturday?
Ben,
I’m hoping to stop by… My wife is working so I’ll have all the kids, but I was thinking of driving up to drop off the LUG Support boxes I sorted and if you’re going to be there I could bring your PaB cups.- This reply was modified 10 years, 2 months ago by Joe.
