There didn’t seem to be too many people in line. Might have some luck still if you hurry. Surprisingly not many children. I managed to get minifig 10/500 but they didn’t seem to be passed out in numerical order.
Glad to have finally met some LUG members in real life. The Steel City LUG shirts are fantastic btw!
October 26, 2018 at 5:57 pm #29247VitriolParticipantThank you all for posting about your experience. I didn’t get to go but my Husband and son love me and managed to get the exclusive set and the Fishing Store for me. Does anyone plan on going to get the minifig tomorrow? I’m going to stop down early in the am!

July 27, 2018 at 1:38 pm #28069VitriolParticipantI was at the Science Center the other day to see the LEGO exhibit and they announced that there is a LEGO store opening in Pittsburgh because of the success of the LEGO exhibit. They did not announce where the store would be. Exciting to see the developments at RPM though!!

July 27, 2018 at 1:36 pm #28068VitriolParticipantHmm I’m not sure the backstory is all that interesting but here it is:
Vitriol is the online handle that I have used for myself for over 20 years. I came across the world “Vitriol” in a chemistry class and I just thought it was the most beautiful word ever. The image is of a minifigure that my sister-in-law purchased for me when she was at a LEGO store. She said that they had an area where you could customize minifigs and she purchased one for me that looks vaguely like I do haha. I have wavy brown hair, I am a science teacher (hence the flask,) and I do own shirts with skulls on them. I took a pic of the minifig and figured I’d use it here as an avatar.
What’s the story behind your avatar Mr. Redfield?
July 24, 2018 at 10:41 am #28049VitriolParticipantI was, and still am, a huge fan of the Pirates line especially the Eldorado fortress. I also loved the Castle/Huntsman sets that were out. When I free build I lean towards castles, villages, and the like. Although currently I usually build what my son asks for. Since emerging from my LEGO dark period I am excited about the Holiday sets! I’m not normally much of a holiday decorator but I adore the Holiday builds!
