SteelCityLUG has a LEGO Ideas Fan Designer!

I can barely believe it, but after 10 years of trying to prove to my daughter that we could make something impossible happen, I am finally able to tell her that we did it! LEGO announced this morning that our tribute to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is becoming an official LEGO set!!! This could not have happened without the LUG (and I truly mean that). I know that I am not active all of the time on the threads, and I can’t make many of the events and the meetings, but being a part of this community (even from afar) has helped me to keep my eye on the prize – not to mention providing the access to the pieces required for the builds. This has been an incredible journey and I have been so humbled with all of the support given to me and my family through the LUG over this last decade. I have had several opportunities to join more local LUGs, but I have always turned those down, as I really love the way that SteelCity operates… build how how much or as little as you want; be as active or inactive as you want; built sets or MOCs; attend when you can; build whatever makes you happy. That is how it should work. I truly want to thank you all, as you have been a huge part of this incredible journey. I hope to see many of you soon.
