because I care, there’s a drop down box at the top of each topic to change the sort order. defaults to the first being on top.
took me like an hour.
You’re welcome, @dwgrier
let me know if there are any issues!
and I saw you used it while I was writing it, @tbrown00 😀 thanks for the extra validation when I went in to make sure user preferences were being saved!

DanParticipantNow we want to sort alphabetically by first name! 😉
February 20, 2025 at 4:56 pm #63229@joshhall on a related issue, would it be possible to have the List of Events be listed in order based on the event date rather than the event creation date? For example, the List of Events is currently showing as:
Q1 Business Meeting as the most recent event (Feb 8)
International Lego Day (Jan 26)
CSC Locomotion Weekend (Jan 17)
Delmont Boy Scout Event (Dec 16)
Lego Winter Store Display 2024 (Dec 2)All of these appear before we get to the next actual event for the LUG which is 2025 Home and Garden (March 3). Just for your consideration as I know the programming can be quite time consuming. Thank you.
February 20, 2025 at 11:05 pm #63233I must me missing something. What exactly did I use? lol glad I could unwittingly help out though.
February 23, 2025 at 6:35 pm #63277February 16, 2026 at 5:30 pm #68402@joshhall, couple things after trying these latest fixes:
1. Oldest/Newest pagination: Being able to switch from page to page of a multiple page thread now works, but when I open a thread with multiple pages in it (like Winter Trolley or International LEGO Day ’26), and I’m set on “Newest First”, it opens to the newest post on the last page of the thread (page 3), not the newest post in the entire thread (page 1).bringing the ‘newest first’ discussion here, @rcgrier3406
It’s a bit tricky to find a solution that ‘rewrites’ pagination…that doesn’t get recursive or break it for oldest first…(I can’t link to you page 3, like the default does, and have it ‘regenerate’ the sorting for what SHOULD be page 3 for you view, because then links are different depending on which sorting you have…Sounds like a question for chatgpt to solve…
just redid the plugin…I haven’t tested…let me know if it’s any better or worse.

@joshhall, It works fine now. Thanks!
