Hi there, I’m Anne! I’ve been an AFOL in the Pittsburgh area for a while now, and only just officially joining the LUG! I’m very exited to meet everyone here in the community. I’m in my 30s and I’m located in Castle Shannon.
I’m mostly a MOC builder, and I gravitate toward microscale architecture builds and vases for flower bouquet sets. I’ve also run short D&D campaigns using Lego-built maps, monsters, and puzzles with the Heroica pawns as minis. My current big project is a rebuild of my large Heroica-scale castle/fortress. I’ve included a photo of the old version. Perhaps there will be photos of the new version if it ever gets finished.
When I am not building Lego, I’m working my day-job as a software engineer or my evening job as a ballroom dance instructor. I’m a big fan of TTRPGs, and I also dabble in aerial silks.

Did you happen to find us at an event recently or talk with anyone about joining? The castle looks great! Is it still up and together?
I attended a Lego expo a few years ago (as a guest, not an exhibitor), but that’s been my most recent contact with anyone in the LUG.
Unfortunately the first version of the castle has been ruthlessly scavenged for use in the second version of the castle. The central octagonal structure has remained intact, but that’s pretty much it. I have a bunch more photos of the first version, though. Most of the interior microbuilds are finding new homes as well.

Welcome, Anne. I really like the muli-colored roofs on your original castle. It gives a nice pop of color amid the gray. The design of the castle is also very nice so I’m looking forward to seeing “version 2”. 🙂
