The lot has been acquired! It took all day, but I just finished unloading it all. I’ll post a few photos but they don’t do it justice. There is so much mixed together in the bulk, figs included.

As an aside, the guy was like no way you’re going to fit that in 2 Civics. Just another day from me. 😂

I just got back from taking a more in-depth look. There are a lot good things, VERY reasonably priced.

Just to name a few: Cloud City with some figs, UCS Death Star (no figs but there are bags of Star Wars figs), Razor Crest, Sesame Street, WALL-E, Old Fishing Store, Dino Hunters, Brick Beard’s Bounty, Grand Emporium, Green Grocer, Jabba fig, Blue Milk Polybag, Bionicle, Hogwarts Castle, Speed Champions, and bulk galore! I did take a few pictures if there’s something you’re particularly interested in.

The room itself is as one lot probably $3-4K in total.

@wrigleybricks There are a lot of ships and sets in various stages of completion. There were also a ton of figs. I think they’re going to organize them over the next week. I’ll send updated pictures or a list when I have it.

I probably did, but can’t recall exactly which one. I’ll share my resources with you via email.

I can give you a ton of activities, but what is really recommended is something that ties into what you love to build and are bringing. For example, if you’re talking about architecture, have them build some place meaningful to them. The challenge can be scaled to limit the number of bricks, color, etc. I’m happy to also send my “library” of activities too. 😊

Hi Anna! I love the botanicals too. My house is decorated in them. I look forward to meeting you at a future event. There’s a quarterly meeting coming up in August if you’re able to make it.

Welcome Rachel! I loved the classic sets from the 80s. Castle being one of my all-time favorites.

I look forward to meeting you at a future event. The Q3 meeting is coming up in August if you’re available.

So that was you wiping out with a tray of bricks in the trailer…?!?

I wish I could fall that spectacularly. It was really from illegal speed building. Oh no, I’ve said too much. 😂

@tbrown00 Great minds think alike. I think @watchwmarcella is looking into dates for Penn Hills for Q2.

@kensc Kyle’s the Admin, you’ll want to connect with him on how to do that in a way that’s sustainable.

@timf I like that idea of bringing whatever you’re building to meetings!

@kensc Anyone has the ability to start a challenge here or on Discord. There is a set Build and Chill channel, but all you need to do is put it out there. 😊

Here is a non-exhaustive list for some of the theme months out there too: https://bricknerd.com/home/every-lego-collab-standard-themed-month-and-recurring-contest-11-26-24

I usually throw out themes that we can reuse the builds for upcoming shows. The general public loves a good Pittsburgh-themed build. With Ultimate Brick being in November, we could always do Pittsburgh Landmarks, but that may be too close to the habitats.

Since the meeting will be around summer, we could also revisit the underwater build challenge using the standard that I think ColonialLUG did. (Yes, I’m channeling Cam) Everyone had to use a 10×10 Octagonal plate (https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=89523&name=Plate,%20Modified%2010%20x%2010%20Octagonal%20with%20Hole&category=%5BPlate,%20Modified%5D#T=C) as the base so they could be connected together into a big piece at the end. I know I have pictures somewhere. I’ll keep looking.

They all were absolutely amazing! So much creativity and detail packed into such tiny builds. I agree that this is something we should continue to expand on. I’m sure they’ll be a fan favorite.

@tfdesigns @smallfrost Hurricane Ivan came through Pittsburgh the day before mine and Will’s wedding. It made for a very fun rehearsal that day.
